Lea is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate. She has her undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University and a Masters in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. She is trained in EMDR, perinatal mental health, and is a certified Prepare/Enrich and Relate Strong premarital and marriage enrichment facilitator.

Prior to practicing counseling, Lea spent six years working in college ministry with her local church where she mentored young adults who experienced many of life’s hardships. Lea enjoys working with older teens and adults who experience anxiety and depression, are in the middle of life transitions, or who desire healing from traumatic experiences. Lea specializes in working with those who have experienced sexual violence, who have experienced chronic or life-threatening health problems, and mothers who have experienced trauma, including miscarriage, traumatic birth, and postpartum depression and anxiety.

Lea believes that healing is a whole person practice, including the mind, body, soul, and relationships. Lea believes that counseling is most effective when people feel seen and known, and therefore safe and supported. Lea uses a trauma-informed approach to gently help clients navigate their story and pursue growth.

Lea Purczinsky, MA, LPC-Associate under the supervision of Dr. Crystal Brashear, MA, LPC-S is a Fort Worth therapist specializing in anxiety, chronic illness, women’s issues, and trauma.
